General Audition Information
The Providence Drama Department is thrilled to announce auditions for the spring cabaret. Your audition can be anything you'd like to showcase at our cabaret. It can be scenes or monologues from straight plays or scenes or songs from musicals. We also welcome dancing acts. Please make sure that your selection works for a stage and that it is Providence appropriate. The audition should be performance ready. Mr. Bragg will be working to coach the acts as we go, but it will be your responsibility to ensure they are prepared for the big night.
Auditions for this production are available by appointment only April 11 or 12 from 3-5pm. Please ensure that your act is performance ready. This means it should be off book, fully staged, and ready to perform for an audience. Should you require music, please make sure that you have the music you intend on using for your performance at auditions. Mr. Bragg may be able to help you locate your music prior to auditions upon request. Please bring accompaniment on a CD or saved on an electronic device. Please do not rely on YouTube for your accompaniment, and do not bring a track with lead vocals on it.

Audition Day Specifics
1.) Auditions and rehearsals will take place in Mr. Bragg's room by appointment only. Try to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time. We want to make sure that the process is as smooth and efficient as possible. Your prompt attendance will greatly expedite the audition process.
2.) Please make sure that your audition piece is performance ready. You should be off book and the material should be fully staged/choreographed. Should your selection involve music, you need the actual track you intend on using at auditions. Please make sure that you bring instrumental only accompaniment (no vocals) on a CD or saved as a track on your mobile device. Please do NOT rely on YouTube for your accompaniment or attempt to sing a cappella.
3.) If you need to cancel or reschedule your audition, or if you are unable to be physically present at the general audition date, please contact Mr. Bragg via email as soon as possible for audition alternatives.
Thank you all so much for signing up for auditions. We look forward to seeing you all over the next few days.
